Our Amazing Instructors
Stop by and say hi. We can't wait to meet you.
Liisa
500 Hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher); Certified Meditation Teacher Liisa loves to share the gift of yoga and meditation with every “body”, regardless of current experience, strength or flexibility level. In her classes you will use supportive props making poses adaptable and accessible and breath work to soften the body and calm the mind, creating a vital practice that can last a lifetime. “Yoga has been a part of my life for more than 20 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and happier, both on and off the mat. My hope is that you leave my classes feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.”
Allie
Allie has been teaching yoga for 12 years. She started practicing yoga and Nicherin Buddhism in Los Angeles in her mid 20s in response to long run with bulimia paired with intense mental and emotional suffering as a young woman aspiring to reach great heights in the entertainment industry. She has been very active in both her yoga and Buddhist communities for 15 years and is a two-time Oregon state yoga champion. From her training as a Buddhist and a yoga teacher, she is determined to transmit to others what she has learned--with the right training and persistence, you will learn how to fix the cracks and fill up your own cup, using external help as support instead of a crutch.
Jerome
The 26+2 series helped in Jerome's fight and recovery from a pituitary tumor that caused him to have Cushing's Disease. After a full recovery, he decided to give back and become a teacher. He teaches with love, compassion, and the understanding that we can heal ourselves from the inside out.
Victoria
Victoria Koopman is a dedicated yoga student, instructor, and believer that health can be found through movement. In 2018, she embarked on a journey of health to aid in chronic pain management and to develop finer self-care and mental health habits. This lead her into Yoga Union’s 2019 200-hour teacher training. Amid her initial 200-hour training, Victoria also completed Yoga Union co-owner Annie Adamson’s Primal Vinyasa teacher training. As an instructor, Victoria approaches yoga with excitement and vigor. She is inspired deeply by anatomy and functional movement, driving her to continuously study to further her knowledge. Victoria hopes to teach students new skills to use while on their mats and outside the yoga studio. She believes in an inner wisdom inherent in our physical bodies and aims to bring this innate wisdom back to life. When not on her mat, Victoria can be found adventuring in the Pacific Northwest with her new husband, being a mom to their three fur babies, or reading a good book.
Kendyl
Through my practice of yoga and meditation, I cultivate a self love and inner peace. After sitting a ten day meditation retreat, I felt called in my work to heal myself and others. I am a 200hr certified yoga instructor through Twist Yoga. My intention in sharing my practice is to help you come into relationship with your body through breath and movement. I hope to learn from each other. Namaste.
